The course is being organised by the EUROSINT Forum in collaboration with the FP7-funded VALCRI project(www.valcri.org), a four-year initiative dedicated to improving the intelligence capabilities of European security and law enforcement professionals.
This two-day workshop will introduce a series of best practices in Strategic Foresight to support intelligence and law enforcement functions in Europe. The seminar will be led by Chris Pallaris, director of i-intelligence GmbH, and chair of the EUROSINT Forum’s Working Group on Best Practices in Intelligence. The seminar will take place in Paris, on the 23 and 24 of November 2017.
- Day 1 will introduce the discipline of strategic foresight and demonstrate its application using a series of structured analytic techniques.
- Day 2 will invite participants to explore the future of European security using simple scenario planning processes and a range of foresight tools to support critical thinking, contingency planning and issue management.
In parallel, participants will be invited to evaluate the VALCRI system, an FP7-funded tool to support strategic and operational criminal intelligence analysis.
More details will be communicated to participants nearer the time.
