On the 10th and 11th April 2017, Europol's European Counter Terrorism Centre (ECTC) hosted a conference on « Online Terrorist Propaganda ». On this occasion, over 150 participants gathered at Europol’s headquarters in The Hague.
Participants included members of the ECTC Advisory Group, representatives of the EU Commission and EU Council, academia and law enforcement practitioners from Europe and the US.
On the agenda: tackling the virtual action and footprint of terrorist groups on the internet as a result of the massive production of content over the last years. This event aimed to support the work of EUROPOL in achieving a coordinated and systematic action bringing together law enforcement, public institutions and the private sectora.
