Thematic Workgroup "OSINT & EU operations"
The workgroup will take place in Brussels
at the Crisis Room DG RELEX with Andrea Ricci
Pre-registering is required for security policy
The aim of this first meeting is to initiate a debate between the participants.
How can OSINT enhance co-operation, information sharing and interoperability between different actors (Member States, EU Institutions, other organisations) involved in civil and military EU operations?
This informal workgroup will discuss this issues and contribute to a better common understanding.
Examples of topics which should be discussed:
* Technical solutions (interoperability / mobility)
* Which services can be delivered through satellites
* Training (before or on the field)
* OSINT in real-time
* Role of NGO as producers or OSINT

Training Workgroup
The workgroup will take place : Boulevard Charlemagne, 42 - 1000 Brussels
The half day workshop is intended to present the findings of the past year regarding best practices in open source intelligence training. It will also outline the structure of an organization intended to bring together European training competencies in OSINT and related disciplines. Finally, it will discuss next steps for the working group, including possible topics for future discussions.
