EUROSINT, the European Open Source Intelligence forum, attracted an audience that one rarely sees in the same room in this city: intelligence specialists from national defense and interior ministers; the European Defense Agency; the European Commission; prime ministerial cabinets; the EU Military Staff and Situation Awareness Center; Europol, the pan-EU police network; Interpol; and a scattering of defense companies, nongovernmental organizations and think tanks.

Presentation of the EUROSINT Forum at the Budapest Club (Budapest)
The Budapest Club is an informal framework which gathers the representatives of Ministries of Foreign Affairs and other CFSP- related govemmental agencies of the 27 Member States, as well as institutions of the European Union. The Club is open to govemmental officials and units already active or interested in the use of open source information in the field of early waming, crisis management, peace building, and conflict prevention. The input of NGOs and think tanks is welcomed and their representatives may be regularly invited to attend the open sessions of the Club.
The purpose of the Club's meetings is to share risk vectors, waming signs, analysis and best practices on various security policy issues.
Themes for discussion or presentations are suggested by the members.
