The EUROSINT FORUM is planning its second "Speed Dating Event" for those interested in New technologies and associated services in the field of security, taking place in Brussels, on Friday 20th February 2009. 

Agenda


10.00-10.30 Registration and welcome coffee

 10.30-11.00  Opening speech: initiatives in the field of new technologies in the  security sector, European Commission, DG Justice, Liberty and Security,  Richard Troy

11.00-11.15 Introductions and exchange of expectations, Speed Dating as the start of  European Co-operation Projects: EU funded projects, including the role of  Member States and industry, Gari Owen, President of the EUROSINT  FORUM 

11.15-11.30 Coffee break

11.30-13.00 Speed Dating Meetings: Service and technology providers present  their offering in a series of short one-on-one meetings with interested  parties (10 minutes)


13.00-14.00 Lunch break (buffet): a possibility for interested parties to talk in detail with those providers who seemed most relevant and interesting for deeper conversations

14.00-14.30 Discussion with the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry, Clément Williamson

14.30-15.15 Participants (per group 4-5 people) to identify technological gaps: suggestions for EU cooperation to be submitted to the EU Commission

15.15-15.30 Conclusion in plenary

15.30-16.30  Coffee: A further hour where it is possible to return to those providers who seemed most relevant and interesting for deeper conversations
